NazgulQueen's Corner of Mordor

I heard about this short film from Ian and Data at the last Philippine Tolkien Society Moot I attended. I absolutely want to see "Paris Je T'Aime" in its entirety now. It's a series of various short films paying homage to this beautiful city.

And speaking of another city--Sin City, I drew two parallels, once again in his short, Elijah is in a non-speaking role and this film also adores strong splotches of lovingly color graded red. For La Vampire, he plays a back packer, wander the streets of Paris by himself until he discovers...a red tell tale trail.

I think I'd want to be the next date I go on to be just like this one.

Enjoy!

I got to watch this during the most recent Cinemanila, and it's wonderful. I actually got the 2-disc DVD; it's a keeper. :)

I want to. And I'm sure it will make me want to visit my friend Mitzi in Paris too!

Carlo, which ex? :-) I just know one.

Orlando Bloom and Gwyneth Paltrow apparently walk across a frame in another of the shorts. They go uncredited.

Di ba? I don't really want to watch the vignettes on YouTube, I want a nice, crisp, clear DVD.

I love how it's scored like an old movie. And that corny heart vignette at the end...hahahahaha!!! If you find the disc, let's have another screening! :-)

Yes, the scoring was great, it works so well at capturing the mood and the communcation of the characters. In the absence of dialogue I feel the scoring has to work harder and this does!

Si Kevin! Really creepy! Actually when I did get to talk to Elijah Wood I didn't ask him about Lord of the Rings. I asked him about playing a menacing character and not having any dialogue. The Sin City turn was a thrill to watch!

I think that was the second time he worked with Robert Rodriguez. Wouldn't mind a third, and would enjoy the CREEPY vibe again!

I guess I know who I'm watching Sin City 2 with.

I should let you watch the tour of TROUBLEMAKER studios and the 10 Minute Cooking School (special features on the Once Upon a Time in Mexico disc).

I adore Robert Rodriguez myself though I can't vouch for his films made for the younger set.

Tim Burton has been floating my boat since 1989.

For Making LoTR, I have to say I'd probably bow in front of Peter Jackson.

Then if I'm in the presence of enthusiasts, then I'll add Fellini and Kubrick to my list ;-)

Robert Rocks! See you at the movies!

Elijah would make a good Daniel--and you can keep Brad as Louis but yeah, let's get someone else aside from Tom Cruise to be Lestat.

Loved Kirsten Dunst, except she's all grown up now.
