Photographed by Eddie Boy Escudero. And I don't know if my French is right. OK so it wasn't a thousand armies but a Magnificent Seven (the Usual Suspects minus a few) did descend upon Xocolat to take advantage of the all you can drink chocolate martinis.

What we did was sort of do a one, two, three...pass with the martini glasses. Since you have to stick to the flavor you ordered the whole night, this is how we get to sample everything on the menu. Hard to pick a favorite really--I think it depends what sort of mood you're in. Sunset if you want something with a kick, After Eight if you're feeling sophisticated, Shotgun if you're feeling playful, the Xocotini if you want to keep things simple, Xocoberrini if you're feeling like a fruit bat...

Of course we did have the artisan brownies (ala mode of course), the churros con chocolate, the coffees. I think we must have spent five hours here, getting a great buzz, talking, taking photographs, comparing chocolate notes, planning trips, "violating" Eddie Boy and getting pervy while discussing Lust, Caution.

In the words of Claudia from "Interview With the Vampire"--"I want some more."
